Help your success find you

Recently I purchased a new wallet for myself. For years I had used the same wallet … it was special because a friend had given it to me as a gift, and I never wanted to get a new one.

It finally gave in and had so many tears in it that I could no longer carry coins in it (can you imagine!?). So I finally broke down and got myself a new wallet.

It’s not the same as my old wallet but it has places for everything that I need and I am getting accustomed to the new places for everything.

Since I made that small change – and gave my money a secure, new place to hang out – good things have been happening for me financially.

I had a client who owed me the final payment of her multi pay plan, and she had come upon difficult times and had been struggling to find the money to pay. She finally paid me.

I had two new prospective clients call me as a result of connections with other clients of mine (not referrals, they called me on their own after seeing correspondence from me).

One of my clients finally closed a big new contract that they had been waiting on for a long time, and it will help them achieve great success in the coming year. That helps me too! J

I did a budget and expense review of my own, and made some business decisions that will help me make more money in my business with my existing clients.

Part of success in business is mindset – and part of mindset is really allowing yourself to see the path to where you want to be.

Something as simple as respecting your money can be a powerful statement in your business. Be grateful for it when it comes your way, and be grateful for it as you spend it for the others who help to make your business a success.

Maybe you don’t need a new wallet to clearly envision your success, but think of the things that you can see in your business that maybe are providing resistance in something you want to accomplish:

1.  Do you have the right support in place? Make sure you have the correct support in place in your business, whether that’s automation or physical support. There is nothing like wasting your time or money on ‘getting things done’ on a daily basis to slow your business success. If you analyze each part of your business, you will see where it makes sense to automate things like scheduling, billing, bookkeeping or customer service, and that can save hours of your time (and increase your bottom line!)

2.  Are you spending money on expenses wisely? Make sure you need the services you are paying for, and that you are using them effectively each month. If you are using a newsletter service, or a shopping cart service, or even just web hosting – look at those expenses. Figure out your returns on your investments. Are you using them enough to get the full value? Sometimes there are other choices out there that fit our budgets better, and still do what we need them to do. It might be worth exploring new services that better suit your needs.

3.  How are you watching money come towards you each week/month? It‘s important to identify the different places that money can come to you. If you are buried in work all the time, you may be too busy to notice the little signs of opportunity that are constantly around you. Or it may be the opposite for you – maybe you are too hungry for revenue, and you may be putting a signal of desperation out there in your communication, which often doesn’t work for anyone. Look at how you are approaching things like your networking, and step back and think about how you could do things differently to achieve the result you want.

Manifesting your success is a skill that is easily learned – when you look at your business from that standpoint, you can often see gaps and opportunities all around you. It may not be as simple as buying a new wallet, but certainly the idea is the same – select a new way to bring in (and hold) your money, and then look for places to save money or find money … and you’ll be more than halfway there!
