Social media is supposed to be … social. Are you?
I see you. I know you’re there. You are on social media but You. Never. Post.
And you never comment!
How many people have you interacted with today on your social media profiles? Fewer than five? None?
My goodness, what is the point of being on social media if you are not being social?
I know, I probably sound like your mom when I say that, but it’s true.
We are all on social media for the personal aspect of it. Mindless scrolling to find funny videos or pictures, recipes, news stories. No problem, I do it too.
But so many of you are also on there for your business, but you never interact with people.
I’d like to help you change that.
When I ask Virtual Assistants what they post on social media to tell people about their business, the most common answer is ‘I don’t really know what to post.’
And so they often post nothing.
Or they post the wrong things and they don’t even know it.
And if they do have conversations, it’s usually only with VAs (newsflash – VAs are not your clients – go and have conversations with clients!).
The ability to post and share great content, and interact easily with potential clients is the fundamental reason that social media is an amazing tool to build your VA business.
But I understand why VAs get stuck.
It’s because you don’t have a clear understanding of the services you offer and how those services help your clients.
Without knowing this, it’s very easy to get stuck on ‘what to post’ on social media.
How do you write your own content – or share content that others post – if you aren’t sure if it’s what your audience wants to see?
