What You Need to Know About Being a Virtual Assistant

When you start a VA business, you are not just offering services to clients in exchange for payment, you are becoming a business owner.

I often ask VAs like you why they want to run their own VA business – and most of the time your reasons are very personal.

• You want to be more available for your family
• You want to set your own schedule
• You want to work from home
• You want to be in control of how much you earn
• You want to be able to pick and choose who you work with
• And so on

These are GREAT reasons to want to be your own boss.

If you are putting your family before your business when you start out, you may struggle to get things moving, or to get really good clients.

I totally understand putting family first – trust me! – I have been working from home since I was 7 months pregnant with my son, who is now 22. I have put him and my husband first for 22 years. But hear me out.
